That’s a priority for the Classic, to popularize baseball throughout the world.” 韓國教練金寅植說：「這對亞洲棒球攸關重要，我希望這次比賽能帶動亞洲棒球蓬勃發展。這是經典賽的首要任務，讓棒球風行全球。」 With masterful pitching and error-free fielding, the Koreans have a chance to take Asian supremacy over the Japanese. 憑著出色的投手表現和滴水不漏的守備，南韓有機會超越日本稱霸亞洲。 ”Japan has been known as the top team in Asia but we work harder to beat Japan,” Korean outfielder Lee Jong-Beom said. ”Because of our zeal to beat the Japanese team, maybe there is some hidden power that comes out when we fight against Japan.” 韓國外野手李鐘範說：「日本一向是亞洲首強，但我們卯足勁扳倒日本。由於我們拚命想擊敗日本隊，上場面對日本時也許會激發揮潛在的威力。」 ”It goes back to our history and tradition. It stems from our parents’ generation and also I’m sure the next generation probably will feel the same,” pitcher Seo Jae-Weong said. 投手徐在應說：「這種心理有歷史和傳統的背景，根植於我們的上一代，相信我們的下一代應該也有同感。」
