故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁140&*故宮書畫圖錄,第二十二冊,頁264-271&*本冊共二十幅,均工筆設色畫歷代帝王事蹟。每開對幅有嘉靖時官至禮部尚書的大臣顧可學(?-一五六0)的題贊,並援引古代經籍與史書的記載。全冊以工筆設色法,描繪人物、建築物及背景,線條及設色都很細緻,構圖簡潔,,清楚的交待故事的內容。仇英(約西元一四九四-一五五二年),江蘇太倉人。本為漆工,後從周臣學畫,擅長人物、山水及故事畫。&*本冊共二十幅,均工筆設色畫歷代帝王事蹟。末幅有「仇英」款及鈐印一方。每開之對幅,並有顧可學(?—一五六○)題記。倘與仇英「漢宮春曉」卷相比,本冊在精麗方面,略嫌不足,且畫中有多處細節、設色未盡完整,推測是買家(可能即為顧可學)需求甚急,倉促間不及收拾所致。此次選展,為第三及第七幅,分繪黃帝像與大禹治水圖。&* This album of 20 leaves, all done in fine lines and color, depicts stories of rulers in China through the ages. Opposite each leaf is a eulogy by the high official Ku K’o-hsüeh (?-1560), who served as Minister of Rites in the Chia-ching era. Ku also quoted from histories and ancient texts in his inscriptions. The strokes and colors as well as the lines and coloring of the figures, buildings, and background in these leaves are quite fine. The compositions are simple and clearly convey the contents of the stories. Ch’iu Ying, a native of T’ai-ch’ang in Kiangsu, originally was a lacquer craftsman who later studied painting from Chou Ch’en. He excelled in painting figural, landscape, and narrative themes. &*仇英(約一四九四-一五五二年),字實父,號十洲,太倉人(今江蘇蘇州)。初為漆工,長於彩繪棟宇,後來改事畫藝。被譽為明代四大家之一。 本冊共二十幅,分別描繪伏羲至宋仁宗等名賢、帝王的事蹟,對幅並有顧可學(?-一五六○)題記。應是仇英應顧氏請託而繪,用以進獻朝廷,求得仕進。全冊均落筆純熟、流利,色調以青綠重彩為主,間或摻用泥金鈎邊,畫面洋溢著鮮豔而華麗的雰圍。(20100101)&*Qiu Ying (style name Shifu, sobriquet Shizhou) was a native of Taicang (modern Suzhou, Jiangsu). A lacquer craftsman early in his career, he also specialized in architectural decoration. Later he turned to painting, becoming venerated as one of the Four Ming Masters. This album of twenty leaves depicts the events of famous rulers and sages from the legendary Fuxi (mid-2800s BCE?) to Emperor Renzong of the Song (1010-1063), and opposing leaves include inscriptions by Gu Kexue (?-1560). Qiu Ying was probably asked by Gu to illustrate his texts, and the work was then probably submitted to the court in Gu’s quest for promotion. The brushwork is mature and swift, with hues mostly bright blue and green to which gold outlining was added.
