秘殿珠林續編(乾清宮),頁365&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁126&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十三冊,頁381-382&* 姚文瀚(活動於西元一七五二年前後),順天(北平)人。號濯亭,乾隆時供奉內廷,善畫佛道人物。 在雄偉的岡底斯雪山上,居住著聖者因竭陀尊者,一千三百名阿羅漢伴隨著他。因竭陀尊者手持香缽和拂子。向尊者致敬!《羅漢禮供》 阿迎阿機達(因竭陀)尊者在西藏十六羅漢中,排名第一,奉釋迦牟尼之命,居住大雪山護持佛教。畫中羅漢頭罩光環,身著漢式寬袍,側身坐石墊上。一如《禮供》所描繪的,他左臂夾拂塵,雙手握起香爐;信徒聞香味,可獲得持戒的芬芳甘甜,觸拂子,可以除煩惱和疾病。比丘侍立左右,二獅匍匐腳下。頂上圓光之內為龍王佛,佛的頂髻後方有八蛇盤出。龍王佛,尊者的持物,比丘袈裟翻起一角的畫法,皆為西藏形式。 &* YaoWen-han (sobriquet Cho-t’ing) was a native of Shun-t’ien (modern Peking). He excelled in Buddhist and Taoist figure painting and served as a painter in the Inner Court of the Ch’ien-lung emperor (r.1736-1796) Angaja is the first of the lohans according to Tibetan Buddhism. At Shākyamuni’s behest, he lives on Mt. Kailasa where he protects and maintains the Buddhist doctrine. Angaja, whose head is surrounded by a halo, has a calm spirit and concentrates intently. Dressed in Chinese fashion with a wide robe, he sits cross-legged on a rock in a three-quarter position. He carries a fly-whisk under his left arm, and he also holds an incense burner in his hands clasped together in prayer. Monks stand on either side of him while two lions crawl at his feet. Above his head in a mandorla is the Nāgarāja, or Dragon King Buddha, who has eight snakes that curl out of his hair.
