石渠寶笈續編(重華宮),第四冊,頁1857&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁125&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十三冊,頁351-352&* 徐揚,江蘇吳縣人,號雲亭。山水用筆挺秀,畫梅亦蒼雅。乾隆十六年(西元一七五一年)以獻畫稱旨,入畫院,供奉內廷,欽賜舉人。 江干院落,主人夜遊,棹舟載梅而歸。筆意工整,設色雅淡。惟著意過甚,故滯刻中微覺力弱。 &*Carrying Plum Blossoms Hsü Yang (fl.18th century) Ch’ing dynasty Hsü Yang, a native of Wu-hsien, Kiangsu, was also known as Yün-t’ing. In painting landscapes, Hsü Yang’s use of the brush was excellent; in painting plum blossoms, his brush was elegant. Hsü Yang was summoned to the Palace as a court painter in 1751. This scroll depicts a master returning to his riverside home at night carrying plum blossoms in his boat. The brush concept is fine and precise; the application of color elegant and pole. Hsü Yang was extremely careful in his execution of this work, however, a few passages show slightly weak brushwork.
