石渠寶笈續編(御書房),第四冊,頁2261&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁131&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十四冊,頁123-124&*賀清泰(1735-1814)法國人,後長期生活在義大利,1756年加入耶穌會,乾隆三十五年(1770)來到中國,三十七年(1772)已在清宮作畫。賀清泰曾奉命以油畫作畫,亦曾與艾啟蒙修改徐揚〈平定金川得勝圖〉畫稿。此幅黃鷹雖與郎世寧畫鷹圖式相近,描繪鷹立鷹架姿態,但細膩傳神程度也與艾啟蒙一般略遜於郎世寧的精緻寫實風格。此軸所畫黃鷹,為乾隆五十六年(1791)科爾沁貝勒所進。&*Louis de Poirot was a Frenchman who later lived for years in Italy. He joined the Society of Jesus in 1756 and arrived in China in 1770, and by 1772 was already painting at the Ch’ing court. De Poirot was once commissioned to do an oil painting, and he and Ignatius Sichelbart (1708-1780) also took part in revising the painting draft for Hsü Yang’s “Achieving Victory in the Pacification of Chin-ch’uan.” Although this falcon standing on a falcon stand is similar to Giuseppe Castiglione’s (1688-1766) method of depiction (see a similar painting in this exhibition), the degree of realism conveyed (like that of Ignatius Sichelbart) is slightly inferior to the exacting detail and naturalism found in Castiglione’s works.
