- 石渠寶笈續編（乾清宮），第二冊，頁785&*故宮書畫錄（卷八），第四冊，頁124&*故宮書畫圖錄，第十三冊，頁265-266&* 金廷標字士揆，烏程（浙江吳興）人，善人物，兼工花卉、山水。乾隆南巡，進白描羅漢冊，稱旨，召入內廷供奉。生卒年未詳，作品見於乾隆二十五年至三十二年間（一七六○–一七六七），乾隆辛丑（一七八一）清高宗題金廷標南泥圖云：「廷標內廷昔供奉……。」依此題，金氏，當卒於辛丑年以前。 駿馬一匹嚙草山林間，牧者不施以鞍勒。画馬甚重光影變化，故具立體感，係受郎世寧画法之影嚮。背景樹石，則為金氏本色。 &* A native of Wu-ch’en, Chin T’ing-piao (style name Shih-k’uei) was a skilled painter of figure and floral subjects. He presented an album of Lohans painted in the pai-miao (outline drawing) style to the Ch’ien-lung Emperor when the latter was on an inspection tour of south China, after which the artist was awarded a position in the painting academy. His works are dated from 1760-1767. A saddleless horse is grazing in the forest. The artist has stressed the rendering of light and shadow, creating a three-dimensional effect. This reflects the influence of Giuseppe Castiglione.
