石渠寶笈初編(御書房),下冊,頁914&*故宮書畫錄(卷三),第一冊,頁79&*趙孟頫。西元一二五四至一三二二。湖州吳興人。字子昂。號松雪道人。宋宗室裔。仕元。至翰林學士承旨。封魏國公。諡文敏。詩文清遠。書畫為後世所宗。 明王世懋評其書曰。文敏書多從二王法中來。其體勢緊密。則得之右軍王羲之。姿態朗逸。則得之大令王獻之。至書碑。則酷李北海李邕岳麓娑羅體。元黃溍評云。趙氏用意楷法。窮極精密。故其出而為行草。無不妙契古人。此卷為其行楷之精而清妙者。&*Chao Meng-fu, a member of the Sung Imperial family, lived in Wu-hsing. His style name was Tzu-ang; his sobriquet was Sung-hsueh tao-jen. He served as an official under the Mongol Yuan dynasty, and was enfeoffed as Duke of the State of Wei. His paintings and calligraphy served as models for later generations. Wang Shih-mou, a critic of the Ming dynasty, once criticized Chao Meng-fu's calligraphy, saying:"Wen-min's calligraphy comes for the most part from the idioms of Wang Hsi-chih and Wang hsien-chih. The density of the expressive force of his brush he got from Wang hsi-chih, the clear-cut untrammeled mood of his writing from Wang Hsien-chih. However, Chao Meng-fu's calligraphy for steles rather resembles Li Yung's "Yueh-lu-tzu-lo" script. The present scroll is one of the more brilliant and marvellous examples of Chao Meng-fu's semicursive standard script.&*趙孟頫(西元一二五四-一三二二年),浙江吳興人。字子昂,號松雪道人,為宋宗室。宋亡,侍御史程鉅夫奉詔搜訪遺逸,孟頫因而出仕為官,至翰林學士承旨。死後,追封魏國公,諡文敏。其書法力追晉唐,提倡復古,影響當代甚鉅。 宋代理學家朱熹受唐代詩人陳子昂〈感遇詩〉啟示,曾作〈感興詩〉二十首。趙孟頫書此卷用筆清秀蒼勁,肥瘦參差,體勢奇宕多姿。(20100406) &* Zhao Mengfu (style name Zi’ang) was native to Wuxing, Zhejiang, and a member of the Song imperial house. After the Song fall, the Yuan official Cheng Jufu was ordered to seek former loyalists, Zhao answering the call to serve the Yuan court and becoming Hanlin Academician Recipient of Edicts. He was posthumously awarded the rank of Duke of Wei and entitled Wenmin. In calligraphy he pursued Jin and Tang styles, promoting revivalism and having a major influence in his day. The famous Song Neo-Confucian scholar Zhu Xi was inspired by “Poetry on Experiences” by Chen Zi’ang of the Tang dynasty and did 20 “Poems on Joy.” Zhao’s calligraphy here is delicate yet strong with both thick and thin strokes creating various forms and forces.(20100406)
