- 石渠寶笈三編（延春閣），第五冊，頁2525&*故宮書畫錄（卷六），第四冊，頁229&* 李迪（活動於西元1162─1224年），河南孟縣人。北宋宣和時任職畫院，授成忠郎，南渡後於紹興年間再復職，為畫院副使，賜金帶。工畫花鳥、走獸、竹石，有生意而具佳趣。本幅繪小貓踞坐探爪，狀甚可愛。染繪斑紋，白粉勾畫頗具功夫。畫幅右上角有「甲午歲李迪筆」之款，其下方則有塊長方形之接痕，該處或原有款印，被割去而重新填補者。 本幅選自「宋元名繪」冊第十幅。 &* Li Ti was a native of Meng-hsien ,human. he entered the Imperial Painting Academy in the 1120s and was awarded the title of Gentleman of complete Loyalty. He later reassumed his position in the southern Sung and was appointed vice-director of the painting of animals, flowers and birds, and bamboo and rocks, which are imbued with vitality and charm. This painting depicts a very engaging kitten as it crouches with paws outstretched .In painting the kitten’s further artist has first dabbed the mottled coat and then meticulously outlined those areas in white .In the upper right-hand corner of the work inscription,” Painted by Li Ti in the chia-wu year. “Below it is a rectangular-shaped path which may have may have originally borne a signature or seal.
