石渠寶笈初編(養心殿),上冊,頁673&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁89&*故宮書畫圖錄,第九冊,頁215-216&* 藍瑛(西元一五八五-一六六四年以後)字田叔,號蜨叟,杭州錢塘人。善山水,初學元黃公望,並遍臨唐宋元各家,構圖精整,傅色明豔,晚年作品筆墨蒼勁老辣,傅色趨於雅淡。他也擅長花竹、人物畫,是浙派後期的重要畫家。 此幅畫溪山積雪,其間點綴樓宇、蓬舟、危橋、棧道和行人。山石純用短斫,兼以烘染。用筆率直老健,作於一六五九年,是七十五歲的力作。 &* Lan Ying, a native of Hangchow, excelled at landscape painting. In his early study of painting, he followed the style of Huang Kung-wang and also copied the works of T’ang, Sung, and Yüan masters. His compositions were exquisite, and his coloring was opulent. The style of his later works was mature with lighter with more elegant coloring. Specializing in flowers-and-bamboo and figures, he was an important late Che-school painter. In this work, Lan Ying has rendered a mountain massifs covered in snow. They are dotted with buildings, a skiff, a bridge, paths, and travelers. The mountains and rocks are done simply with short axe-cut strokes with washes. Brushwork is direct and mature.
