石渠寶笈續編(乾清宮),第一冊,頁504&*故宮書畫錄(卷六),第四冊,頁197&* 文徵明(西元一四七○至一五五九年),長洲人。文信國公裔,初名壁,字徵明,後以字行,更字徵仲。號停雲生,衡山居士。畫師沈周,書畫雙絕,為明四大家之一。因享年甚高,故畫之傳世者亦甚衆。 文翁自題:「風裾月佩紫霞紳,秀質亭亭似玉人。」即足用為本幀評賛,不煩更事言詮。本幅選自「名畫琳瑯」冊。 &*Orchid and Bamboo Wen Cheng-ming (1470-1559) Ming Dynasty Wen Cheng-ming, was a native of Ch’ang-chou, Kiangsu and a descendent of the famous statesman Wen Tien-hsiang. He first took the name Pi, but later adopted the style name Cheng-ming. Wen Cheng-ming was accomplished in both calligraphy and painting, and in the latter, he took Shen Chou as his teacher. Because he lived to the venerable age of 89, the extant paintings in his name are quite numerous.
