- 石渠寶笈初編（養心殿），上冊，頁647&*故宮書畫錄（卷五），第三冊，頁243&*故宮書畫圖錄，第五冊，頁109-110&*陳貞（西元十四世紀），浙江錢塘人。字履元，擅畫山水。 這幅畫作於至正十一年（一三五一年），描繪著幽僻的鄉野，四五家村屋聚集在樹林山石間。近有溪水縈繞，遠處則雲山層h?C山石皴法類似牛毛皴，用筆繫密，畫法可能是學自王蒙，但意境間卻富有米家意味。&*It is not known exactly when Ch'en Chen lived, but it was sometime during the Chih-cheng era (1341-1367). A native of Ch'ien-t'ang, Chekiang, his style name was Lü-yüan and he was very proficient as a landscape painter. This particular scroll was executed in 1351. Mountains shrouded in clouds and mist stretch far into the distance; brooks and streams wind through them. Along each bank are small huts and cottages, partially concealed by the dense trees. In this serene and vast setting, the rocks are rendered with buffalo hair texture strokes, reminiscent of works by Wang Meng, but the atmosphere that permeates the scene is that of Mi Fu.
