- 石渠寶笈初編（重華宮），下冊，頁799&故宮書畫錄（卷八），第四冊，頁80&故宮書畫圖錄，第七冊，頁243-244&仇英（約一四九四－一五五二年），江蘇太倉人。字實父，號十洲。年輕時曾為漆工，後遇周臣，經其指授，漸有名於藝壇。畫工山水、人物，兼善鳥獸、花卉，風格以精麗艷逸著稱。 本幅畫水仙兩本，蠟梅一枝，以勾勒填彩法成之，著意無多，而清麗雅澹之韻，盎然絹素，乃仇英之精者，款書十五字，出項元汴手筆。此圖另存一幅，現流傳於國外。& Ch’iu Ying, a native of Soochow, studied to be a lacquer artisan in his youth, but later became a student of Chou Ch’en. Later excelling his teacher, he was skilled at landscape and figure painting and excelled at rendering animals, birds, and flowers. His possessed and exquisite, highly accomplished style. Ch’iu Ying has painted two blooming narcissi and a branch of plum blossoms. He used the method of outlining the contours and then added colors. Effortlessly, he has imbued the entire composition with an elegant atmosphere. There is an inscription of 15 characters in the lower right corner by Hsiang Yüan-pien. Another version of this painting exists in an overseas collection. & 仇英，字實父，號十洲，江蘇太倉人，生卒年畫史無記載，但由流傳存世落款作品推算，他活動的時期，是從武宗正德四年（公元一五○九）到世宗嘉靖三十一年（公元一五五二）的四十餘年間。傳說他早年做過漆工，被畫家周臣遇見，驚訝他的才藝，於是主動收留並傳授他繪畫，後來又經過一番臨摹古畫的工夫，終於成名。他的作品，不論山水、人物、士女以及竹石花卉，都是筆致精細，著色鮮麗，卻又能脫去匠氣，給人有高雅清麗、工而不俗的感覺。& Ch’iu Ying was a native of T’ai-ts’ang, Kiangsu. Originally a lacquer craftsman, he followed Chou Ch’en and learned painting, eventually attaining fame in this art. Ch’iu Ying was skilled in all areas of painting; his style is refined and alluring. Narcissus and plum are painted with fine outlines and colors. Though a simple composition, the painting is filled with elegance and beauty. The fifteen character inscription was written by Hsiang Yüan-pien.
