- 石渠寶笈初編（御書房），下冊，頁1131 &*故宮書畫錄（卷八），第四冊，頁83 &*故宮書畫圖錄，第八冊，頁3-4&* 陸治（西元一四九六－一五七六），江蘇吳縣人。字叔平，號包山子。為人孝悌好義，詩文書畫都很好，曾遊藝於祝允明、文徵明之門，畫風清雅，山水、花鳥都頗能出以己意。 桃花林下，放牧雙牛，一牛甫自塘中起身登岸，一牛正躑躇林間。全幅以淺赭色為基調，畫面顯得極為柔和。人樹坡陀，筆觸清淡，流露出明代吳派文人畫氣息。 &*Lu Chih came from Wu-hsien in Kiangsu. Although easy-going by nature, he had a strong moral sense and was praised by his friends for his filial conduct. Equally skilled as a painter, calligrapher, poet and essayist, he was the close friend of Chu Yün-ming and Wen Cheng-ming. In a grove fragrant with peach blossoms two oxen are left to pasture. One is just rising up from the pond onto the bank. The other loiters under the trees. A light ochre provides the basic color scheme and infuses the painting with a warm softness. Figures, trees, and slopes are all delicately painted, revealing the basic manner and feeling of Wu School literati painting.
