故宮書畫錄(卷六),第四冊,頁217&*石渠寶笈三編(圓明園清暉閣),第八冊,頁3650&*廉孚,宋山陰(今浙江紹興)人,一作山陽(今江蘇淮安)人。其父廉布官至武學博士,居紹興,專事繪畫。廉作畫有父風。 此幀描繪叢樹岩石,煙靄飄渺的山間秋色。一人悠然前行,侍者背負行囊相隨於山路中。此畫以馬夏一派手法組成精簡的構圖,並以富於詩意的筆韻表達了物我溶合,天人一體的境界。&*Some records state that Lien Fu was a native of Sung-shan-yin (modern Shao-hsing, Chekiang), while others claim that he was from Shan-yang (modern Huai-an, Kiangsu). His father, an official, served as an Erudite on the staff of the Directorate of Education's Military School in Shao-hsing. He specialized in paintings, and Lien Fu's works show the influence of his father's style. This painting depicts trees and craggy rocks with smoky clouds drifting among the autumn scenery. In the left section, a traveler proceeds unhurriedly, followed by his attendant with rucksack over the shoulder along mountain path. In this painting, Lien employed the techniques of the Ma-Hsia school to create a delicate and simple composition.
