石渠寶笈三編(延春閣),第五冊,頁2091&*故宮書畫錄(卷五),第三冊,頁470&*故宮書畫圖錄,第八冊,頁131-132&*1.〈明孫枝玉洞桃花〉,收入國立故宮博物院編輯委員會編,《春景山水畫特展圖錄》(臺北:國立故宮博物院,1987年一月初版),頁55。 &* 孫枝生卒年不詳,作品見於嘉靖乙未至萬曆壬寅間(西元一五三五-一六○二年),凡六十六年。吳縣(今江蘇蘇州)人。字叔達,號華林居士。善山水,法文徵明,人物花卉亦佳。 溪澗盡處,巖洞高敞,洞中瀑布潺潺而下。隨山上下,桃花盛開,花叢中一樓高起,近處長松兩株。一叟一童,方渡小橋而至。通幅用筆,皆從衡山蛻化而來,以雅淡見勝。 &*Sun Chih was a native of Wu-hsien (modern Soochow), Kiangsu. His style name was Shu-ta, his sobriquet Huan-lin chü-shih. He excelled at landscape painting and studied the method of Wen Cheng-ming (1470-1559). His renderings of figures and flowers were also good. Two waterfalls pour out of a towering passage of rocks flow past banks of luxuriantly blooming peach blossoms. A cottage stands high among the clusters of blossoms, while two tall pines and a scholar and servant crossing a bridge occupy the foreground. The brushwork in the painting evolved from that Wen Cheng-ming. Its refinement and pale coloring are most successful.
