- 故宮書畫錄（卷八），第四冊，頁58&*故宮書畫圖錄，第二冊，頁179-180&*馬遠(活動於西元1190-1222年)，山西河中人。字欽山。祖父興祖、父世榮、兄逵、子麟皆善畫，堪謂繪畫世家。光宗、寧宗朝任畫院待詔，山水、人物、花禽，種種臻妙。予夏圭齊名，時並稱「馬夏」。本幅寫松蔭下，高士獨坐對月。林間，曲水繞欄，薄霧掩映，一派寧謐之氣，溢於畫表。右下角石隙，雖署有「馬遠」款，但就畫風論，應出自傳承馬夏流派的明人之手。&*Ma Yuan (style name Ch’in-shan) was a native Ho-chung, Shansi province. His grandfather Ma Hsing-tsu, father Ma Shih-jung, brother Ma K’uei, and son Ma Lin all excelled in painting, and they became famous as a family painters. Ma was a Painter-in-Attendance in the courts of Kuang-tsung (r.1189-1194) and Ning-tsung (r.1194-1224). He was skilled in painting landscapes, figures, birds, and animals. Both he and his contemporary, Hsia Kuei, were called “Ma-Hsia” for the style they created. Under pines, a lofty scholar sits gazing at the moon. A stream winds though a forest. Light, vapor-like mist rises up, filling the entire painting with a misty atmosphere. Although the painting is signed “Ma Yuan” in the lower left corner in a rock crevice, this painting is by a Ming dynasty artist working in the tradition of Ma Yuan and Hsia Kuei.&*1.王耀庭，〈傳宋馬遠松間吟月〉，收入王耀庭主編，《傳移模寫》（臺北：國立故宮博物院，2007年初版），頁62-63。
