- 故宮書畫錄（卷六），第四冊，頁217&*石渠寶笈三編（圓明園清暉閣），第八冊，頁3650&*錢選（約西元一二三五－一三０三年尚在），浙江吳興人。字舜舉，號清?老人。為人豁達有氣度，宋亡不仕，流連詩畫以終其身。工詩善書畫，尤精臨摹古蹟，元初吳興八俊之一。 本幅為「集古名繪」冊第七幅。畫二佳麗，頭頂高冠，身披輕紗，手執紈扇於園中消暑。佈局簡約，設色雅淡，衣描用筆勁如游絲，纖秀清逸。確屬名家之傑作，惟幅中無款印，舊傳為錢選之作。&*Ch'ien Hsüan was a native of Wu-hsing,Chekiang,known for his character. Loyal to the Sung, he did not serve the Yüan(1279-1368),but made his living at poetry and painting. Also gifted at calligraphy, he was adept at copying ancient works. He was known as one of the Eight Talents of Wu-hsing. This is the 7th leaf from the album Collection of Ancient Famous Paintings. Two beautiful ladies wear high headdresses and delicate silk robes as they carry fans to dissipate the summer heat in a garden. The simple composition, elegant coloring, and strand-like lines for the clothing create for a pure and refined scene.
