- 故宮書畫錄（卷五），第三冊，頁254&*故宮書畫圖錄，第五冊，頁157-158&*1.林莉娜，〈元無款寒林圖〉，收入林莉娜、張華芝編，《冬景山水畫特展圖錄》（臺北：國立故宮博物院，1989年元月初版），頁61。 &*在郊野，有幾株老樹疏落地依傍水澤而生。樹葉已全凋零落盡，露出了枯乾的枝枒，有老藤纏繞垂掛著。樹木坡土都以墨色渲染，更覺得陰冷蕭瑟。陣陣寒風吹皺了水面，波紋似長披麻交織如鱗狀，一層一層地疊列，漸淡漸遠空闊無邊。 這幅畫沒有作者簽名落款，以筆墨來看，與盛懋的作品相當接近。&*The painting depicts a river bank with winter trees heavily festooned with trailing vines. The ripples over the surface of the broad river, executed with the brushstrokes of interwoven threads of long hemp, gradually fade into distance, suggesting a vast expanse. In applying light color to the painting the artist added ink to the blue and ochre pigment. The spirit of a brooding winter pervades the painting. Though there are no seals or signature on the painting, the use of brush and ink is close to the style of the Yüan dynasty artist Sheng Mou.
