- 中文摘要:魯迅身處在內憂外患的時代之下，除了親眼目睹國人任人宰割的命運外，自身也看盡了人世間的冷暖。他深切的體悟到要解救大眾脫離水深火熱的生活，必需先改造國民性，使他能自知自覺而後才能力圖改善。因此在五四運動時期，便極力推動以文藝來救國，積極寫作淺顯易懂的白話小說來改造人民的思想，以喚醒普羅大眾，而《故事新編》小說集便是在這種背景下應運而生。此書以廣為民眾所熟知的神話傳說或歷史人物來進行故事新編、人物再造，符合五四新文學之精神，又有相當程度能反應作者的心境，故筆者試以這本小說集為研究範疇，並基於神話傳說這部分最有研究價值，也最能表達它的時代意義。因此，特以有關神話傳說人物為探討對象，進而分析魯迅對這些人物形象再造所賦予的時代意義。 本論文之研究方法，係採「文獻分析法」、「歸納法」，以及「演繹法」三者並用。先蒐集與研究有關的文獻資料，以及各家的評論，再評估其參考的價值性，然後再引述分析、歸納、演繹，以求獲得結論。 而論述主題內容分為：神話傳說之原始形象探源、形象演變探討、魯迅對神話傳說之形象再造探析，以及再造神話傳說人物所彰顯之時代意義探究等四個單元，最後綜合上述，做出總結。
- 英文摘要:Lu Xun stayed at the times of internal revolt and foreign invasion, he not only eyewitnessed the nations who allowed themselves to be trampled upon, but also saw the terrestrial aloofness and warmth in the society. He realized deeply that to salve people depart from the lives in deep distress, he must to reclaim the nationality, to make himself awake, and then to improve. Therefore, in the period of The May Fourth Movement, he got literature and art to save the nation into moving, enthusiastically wrote vernacular novel to reclaim people’s thinking, and awaken the multitude, “New Compilation of Tales,” this novel, then came with the tide of fashion. About this novel, Lu Xun used the familiar Chinese mythical legend or the history people to newly edit, and to reforge the characters, these not only conform to the spirit of The May Fourth Movement literature, but can also react the author’s mental state, accordingly, the author used this novel as the research category; otherwise, the novel based on Chinese mythical legend, this part was the most valuable part to be researched, and to be expressed its times significance; consequently, the author especially used the Chinese mythical legend characters to be the research object, and then to analyse the times significance of Lu Xun’s reforging these images of characters. The research methods of this research paper are “Document Analysis”, “Induction”, and “The Deductive Method”. First collecting the document materials and the comments of each expert relates to the research, then evaluating the value of each reference, and then analyzing quoting, induction, and deductive to get the conclusion. The contents of discoursing topic were divided as follows: the original image analysis of Chinese mythical legend, the study of image evolvement, Lu Xun’s reforging images of characters, the times significance of Lu Xun’s reforging Chinese mythical legend characters, these four units. Finally, to integrate the above then makes a summary.
