- 中文摘要:臺灣民間信仰廟宇建築之研究，以往一直抽離的宗教信仰方面的理解，停留在傳統建築研究領域之中，著重於找尋臺灣廟宇建築與中國建築之淵源關係，忽略了台灣民間廟宇建築的歷史發展過程與式樣的多樣性。因此藉由南部民間信仰廟宇的調查研究，釐清廟宇的宗教信仰向度，並以漢人民間社會發展為主軸，重新審視臺灣民間信仰廟宇建築之演變，以及關於民間信仰發展與構築材料與構造形式的影響，釐清其相互關係，希望有助於對於民間廟宇建築作一番新的理解。
- 英文摘要:In the past, the research of Folk Belief Temples in Taiwan always be studied in traditional architecture area ,with religion development ignored ,and take emphasis on the relationship to Chinese traditional architecture. The history and the complexity of Folk Belief Temples of Taiwan was ignored. Therefore, on the investigate of Folk Belief Temples in southern Taiwan, We research the evolution of Folk Belief and Temples again and study on the effect of Folk Belief、materials and construction .The thesis is divided into three parts in historical process:1.The forms of Folk Belief Temple in early Taiwan (1661~1894)On the development of Folk Belief and the basic form of temples in the process of settlement society to traditional society .2.The transition of traditional society to modern society (1895~1965)On the collapse of traditional power on architecture form , and borne of new temples'form., and the probation of new architecture materials 3. The modern society (1965~)On the modernization of Folk Belief , and the passes of temples' form with the new construction of RC
