中文摘要:本研究旨在分析排灣族的神話傳說中所蘊含的歷史意識,而本研究是盡可能的收集排灣族的神話傳說文獻,總共收集到14位不同作者的著作。 本研究所採行的是內容分析法,而主要探討的重點有四:一為排灣族神話傳說所呈現出的歷史意識;二為排灣族神話傳說中所蘊含的時間觀;三為排灣族神話傳說中所傳達的人的地位;四為排灣族神話傳說的記憶方式。本研究透過文獻探討歸納出分析的要點,以及了解排灣族的文化樣貌,經由此基礎而進行分析。 本研究的成果有如下數點: 1. 排灣族的起源神話包括太陽卵生、蛇生、陶壺生、竹生與石生等,這些不同的起源神話是來自不同的族群,而經由族群的遷徙或融合,而有所交會混雜。而這些不同起源說法說明了一個族群的存在意義與對本身定位的認同,代表其對歷史不同的取捨與解釋。 2. 排灣族的神話傳說在時間觀上,是具有時間的流動感,其時代距離感是非線性的,由過去與現在兩段構成,以過去詮釋現在,此外也相信歷史的發展隱含著循環的觀點。 3. 排灣族神話傳說中在解釋其現象及事件的因果關係時,神的旨意是置於人力之上,神意仍是掌控事件變動的主因,因此人的地位是受制於神的安排,人的地位也會經由神的撿選而具有不凡的地位。 4. 在排灣族的主觀認定上,從不同的起源說去回溯他們的祖先,而認定分屬不同的社群的人,此外,經由圖騰紋飾、命名的使用而去確認不同階級的身分,最後,五年祭的舉行凝聚了族人的族群意識。
英文摘要:The purpose of this research is to analyze the folk narratives of the Paiwan to explore the sense of history. This research was collected as all of the folk narratives writings of the Paiwan as possible, and the researcher collected 14 different authors’ writings. The approach of this research was textural analysis. There are four points in this research included: 1.to explore the sense of history of the Paiwan’s folk narratives; 2.to explore the sense of time of the Paiwan’s folk narratives; 3.to explore the concept of human of the Paiwan’s folk narratives; 4.to find out kinds of collective memories of the Paiwan’s folk narratives. The conclusion of this research: 1. The origin of the Paiwan’s myths included five kinds of arguments: people were born from the egg of sun, the snake, the pottery, the bamboo and the stone. These different kinds of origin of myths were come from different Paiwan’s tribes, through tribes migrated and integrated. And these different kinds of origin of myths interpreted the existence and identity of one tribe, and represented the interpretation of one tribe’s history. 2. The sense of time of the Paiwan’s myths was provided with the change of time. The past was used to explain the present, and believed the development of history was circulated. 3. When explain appearance of things and causal relationship of things, the Paiwan’s myths believed that God’s Will was above human’s volition. Therefore, God’s Will controlled all changes. Human’s status was controlled by God, and via God’s choice human’s status will become extraordinary. 4. The subjective identification of the Paiwan was via different kinds of origin of myths to recall their forefathers to suppose what tribe they belong. Besides, via totem, sign, and name we may confirm different class’ identity. And the meeting of the Five-year festival was cohered the Paiwan’s consciousness of tribes and cultural identity.
