- 簡介:" 浮標寶螺Cypraea asellus屬於小型寶螺，殼長約2~3公分，殼形為梨狀或長卵狀，兩端較鈍，殼背圓膨。殼面為乳白色，有三條深褐色的橫帶，兩側及基部亦為乳白色，基部隱約可看見自背部延伸的色帶。棲息於潮間帶至水深20公尺的珊瑚礁與岩石質底。 本物種不是很常見，產於印度-西太平洋地區，例如：菲律賓群島、中國大陸的海南與西沙群島、日本的房總半島以南、澳洲的珊瑚灣及西澳(WA)到新南威爾斯(NSW)中部。台灣北部、東部、南部可發現該物種的蹤影。例如：基隆、東北角、屏東、小琉球、澎湖、南沙太平島等。MolluscaCypraea asellus Linnaeus寶螺科浮標寶螺Cypraea asellus is a small cowry species with a shell length between 2 and 3cm. The shell is pyriform to ovate with blunted extremities and a rounded dorsum. Dorsum white with three transverse dark brown bands. Margin to base white as well, with a hint of the colored bands running from the dorsal surface. It inhabits coral reefs and rocky bottoms in intertidal zone to 20m deep. Cypraea asellus is not a very common species but very widespread, mainly found in the Indo-West Pacific region, including Boso Peninsula in Japan, southward to Hainan and Xisha islands, the Philippines, Australia's Coral Bay, and Western Australia (WA) to the central of New South Wales (NSW). In Taiwan, the species has been found at Keelung, the Northeast Cape, Pingtung, Siaoliouciou, Penghu and Nansha Taiping Island."
