- 中文說明:國父孫中山先生推翻滿清政府，於西元1912年創立中華民國，同年特鑄銅質之開國紀念幣。雖僅值十文，卻終止了歷代的通寶，也是貨幣史上的新紀元。
- 日文說明:満清政府を倒した国父孫中山先生は、1912年に中華民国を創立し、銅質の開国記念幣を鋳造、値僅か十文であるが、歴代の通宝を終結し、貨幣史上の新紀元に入った。
- 英文說明:The Republic of China was established in 1912 following the overthrow of the Manchurian government by Mr. Sun Yat-sen. During that same year coins were minted commemorating the establishment of the Republic of China. They were only worth ten cents, but they marked the end of the use of the traditional square-holed coins of China used for generations.
