- 中文說明:1911年以後由於各界及日本總督府的強制規定下，台灣婦女慢慢解除纏足的風氣，本件1雙為平底、百納鞋底，在朱紅色的鞋面繡著精美的花卉圖案，應為纏足後放足的女子所穿的繡花弓鞋，仍保有嬌小，但已改為方頭。
- 日文說明:1911年以後民間各地及び日本総督の強制規定により、台湾婦女は次第に纏足の風習を解除する。この品は靴底が平らで、朱紅色の靴の面に精美な花卉図案を刺繍してあり、纏足を解いた後の女性が履く一足の弓靴、形は嬌小であるが、先が四角形に変っている。
- 英文說明:Due to pressure from all circles of society and a ban by the Japanese governor-general, the practice of foot binding gradually fell out of favor among the women of Taiwan after 1911. The red fabric of this pair of low heeled bowed shoes is adorned with delicate embroidered flowers. These embroidered bowed shoes were probably worn by a woman with bound feet after the ban. Although still small, they have squared-off tips.
