- 中文說明:在童帽的兩端兩側各繡製一隻上揚的鳥頭，有時是公雞，取長大加官（雞冠）的意涵，有時是鴟鴞（ㄔ ㄒㄧㄠ），因為台灣民謠中有「鴟鴞飛上山，囝仔快作官；鴟鴞飛高高，囝仔中狀元…」，反映望子成龍的傳統思想。
- 日文說明:児童帽子の両端に飛び上がる鳥の頭を刺繍したもの。雄鶏の頭は成長したのち官職につく〈鶏冠〉の意をもじったもの、それは台湾民謡にある「鴟鴞飛上天，囝仔快作官；鴟鴞飛高高，囝仔中状元」の言葉にある《望子成龍》の伝統思想による。
- 英文說明:Children's hats were often embroidered on either side with the head of birds—sometimes with the heads of roosters (“rooster's crown” is similar in sound to “become an official”) and sometimes with the heads of owls. The words of a Taiwanese folk song reflect the traditional hope that a child have a brilliant future (by becoming a government official)—“The owl flies up the mountain, child of mine become a government official. The owl flies ever so high, child of mine take first place in the imperial exams.”
