- 故宮書畫錄（卷三），第一冊，頁80&*1.江兆申，〈文徵明書太上常清淨經 册〉，收入國立故宮博物院編，《吳派畫九十年展》（臺北：國立故宮博物院，1975年初版，1976年再版，1981年三版），頁303。 &*文徵明（西元一四七0－一五五九年），長洲（江蘇吳縣）人，名壁，號衡山居士。詩文書畫並佳，為明四大家之一。文徵明擅篆、隸、楷、行、草各體，尤以小楷及行書最具個人特色。他的書法上追晉唐，小楷從王羲之的「黃庭經」、「樂毅論」出，溫潤精純，然好用偏鋒，起收筆稍尖。此幅作於四十一歲，已經在勁健的結構中摻有虛靈、舒緩的意味，透露了寓飄逸於工整之外的「明楷」訊息。 &*Wen Cheng-ming was a native of Soochow who was gifted at writing, poetry, calligraphy, and painting. He was known as one of the Four Great Masters of the Ming. Wen specialized in all the major script types, but his small standard and running scripts were the most unique. His style reached back to Chin and T’ang models, and his small standard script comes from his study of Wang Hsi-chih’s The Huang-t’ing Classic and The Yueh-i Essay to create a warm, mature manner with a slanted brush and sharp beginning and ending strokes. This work was done at 40 and already reveals the ease and spirit within its solidity. His style foretells the refreshing and pure qualities of “Ming standard” beyond precision.
