- 石渠寶笈三編（乾清宮），第二冊，頁592&*故宮書畫錄（卷五），第三冊，頁526&*故宮書畫圖錄，第十冊，頁155-156&*1.何傳馨，〈清王翬仿趙孟頫江村清夏圖〉，收入何傳馨、許郭璜編，《夏景山水畫特展圖錄》（臺北：國立故宮博物院，1991年七月初版），頁107-108。 &*王翬（西元一六三二－一七一七年），常熟人。字石谷，號耕煙散人、清暉主人、烏目山人、劍門樵客。山水得王時敏指授，為清四大家之一。平溪淺渚，近岸畫叢柳極疏秀，柳梢隙處，有瓦房茅舍，掩映其間，三五成聚。村屋盡處，濃蔭忽起，傍山依水，其間髣髴有村徑可通，村樹之間，淡煙如幕，雜以翔鷺飛燕。全幅構景，得疏密動靜之妙，用墨盡燥濕淺深之巧，是王翬七十五歲的佳作。&*Wang Hui, a native of Kiangsu, was taught landscape painting by Wang Shih-min and was known as one of the Four Wangs of the Ch’ing. He viewed and copied many works by the ancient masters that he saw in various art collections. This masterpiece by Wang was done in 1706, when he was 74. He has depicted low islets lying in a river as a grove of willows with elegant branches sweeps over the near bank. The branch tips brush against village houses hidden in the shade. A path seems to lead through the mists suspended among the trees. The composition has effective contrasts of density and openness, movement and quietude. The tonality of the ink is also very skillfully varied.
