石渠寶笈初編(重華宮),下冊,頁801&*故宮書畫錄(卷五),第三冊,頁462&*故宮書畫圖錄,第八冊,頁237-238&* 董其昌(西元一五五五-一六三六),江蘇華亭人,字玄宰,號思白,萬曆十六年進士,官至禮部尚書。善書法,畫山水宗董巨,及宋元諸家之長。富收藏而精鑑賞,影響後代的畫論及藝術發展很深。 前景坡陀,群樹左右參差有致。遠山高低連綿,中間平塢有幾戶人家。山勢用倪瓚折帶皴兼黃公望筆意,氣氛寧靜。其好友陳繼儒題此畫云:「雲林畫,三吳之家以有無為清俗,董宗伯墨蹟亦然。此圖玄宰以董巨而兼帶雲林,眞所謂善學柳下惠者也。諒賞鑑家自有巨眼在。」 &* Tung Ch’i-ch’ang was a native of Hua-t’ing, Kiangsu. He received his chin-shih degree in 1588 and reached the position of President of the Board of Rites. A skilled calligrapher as well as painter, he followed the landscapes of Tung Yüan and Chü-jan in particular, adding the strengths of the other masters of the Sung and Yüan. Tung was a collector and connoisseur, and his influence as a theoretician was extremely far-reaching. A group of trees are arranged in a rhythmic pattern on the foreground slope; houses are seen in the valleys between distant mountains. The texture strokes on the mountains suggest Ni Tsan while the brushwork recalls huang Kung-wang.
