- 內容摘要說明：Baro. 30-16- Still at Lam-hong-o. Arranging about rebuilding the chapel. Herad of adventures with the Savages. I) Gan Iu Lien the Cook Preacher at Ki-lai' Ka-le-oan was coming by boat to Tamsui' Oxford College - A storm arose - the boat was driven ashore - savages came running down and he narrowly escaped. II) Thirteen of our Lam-hong-o people went to T?a-lam-o and up the mountains side to cut down trees for timber. Twenty three Savages rushed upon them with guns and knives - Fighting continued from noon till near dark - Four of our people were killed. - Five savages fell dead and two more were wounded.-One of our converts was shot through the shoulder' but recovered. ---- III) Last month three (3) men (one being a Deacon) started about noon for So-bay. They got up near where a spring flows down 30 ft. in full view of the Lam-hong-o gate. Several savages met and rushed at them with long spears. The converts immediately threw themselves down the steep declivity into the water. People saw the affair and yelled vociferously. The savages fled and the men with bruises returned home. --
