- 內容摘要說明：Sun blazing hot' all unwell vomiting etc. purging. Being without medicine we thought best to return having seen our work done' for which we went. At Noon took a boat' crossed to Kelung then on to Nia-kha' found all the boats save one old concern taken by the Mandarins' we had nothing to do but take it. So bag and baggage we went in etc. Sat down. Six inches of water in the bottom and more coming in. One person nearly the whole time sat dipping it out. Slowly we moved along with two boatman quarreling the whole time. Suddenly coming to rapids and meeting another boat we struck Rough experience in a boat doer and also the bottom on the rocks. All were thrown out into the water. Wet and sick after some repairs Made at the water's edge we got in again and just before dark it was found necessary to take in clay and keep filling the openings to keep out thje water. After dark and when the boatmen were to fight we were capsized again. We sera bled to the old thing when getting up from our plunge and righted her. Little more repairs and we were squatted inside once more. Slowly we got on but no more accidents and after being in that miserable concern crouched the whole time foe 20 (twenty) long weary hours we arrived here at Tamsui-
