- 內容摘要說明：Rather a clear day Mrs. Mac. Myself and children called on Li-ko-kang. On the Preacher at Toa-tiu-tia' Eng' Thai-a etc. Goan's family and the school at Toa-liong-pon. After dinner I went out to Toa-tiu-tia etc. distribute calendar Sheets. Then towards eve. A Hoa and two or three Students went into the old city of Bang-kah and distributed when in front of one large temple the rush was so great and the eagerness to get them that I ceased many times; then they begged of me to go into the temple and give on Sheet by Sheet; crowds though got in the back way and the Buddhist priest got angry and began to open the door. When two men began to revile him and in an instant were closing up to beat him. The great surging mass outside yelled to throw him out - that the temple are not his; but peoples. I stood between Priest and his assailants and got all quieted down then went outside and distributed a large number and returned to the chapel followed by immense numbers----- Pleasant eve. in the chapel. Extracted many teeth and retired wearied enough------
