- 內容摘要說明：Being a fine day and about 50( fifty) Tatooed Savages being present we went a Short walk from the chapel and Selected a wild romantic spot with huge boulders overhanging the Murmering Sounds of the rapids there. The Dr. then took procession of the instrument and I attempted to arrange the woods- man with their chief Ma-lai at their head. All the man and boys had bows and arrows. It was amusing to see them wondering what was coming next as I was getting their bare legs and hands etc. arranged amongst bushes and on boulders-They were not afraid. As they knew me---They soon wearied and before desired could be accomplished. However we got some done and all Jumped up and ran----- In the eve. we gave a Magic Lantern Exhi. And Savages were all present. They begged of us to continue till morning--
